Manipulation with a star like structure

Sample: Grid2a
Beads : Micromod, Sicastar-M plain 1,5µm (1/5000: 5µg/ml)
Video : Test2
Area : 48,1 x 64,2µm (150x200+420+429)

The magnetic beads follow the magnetic gradient into the circle. The actual current is written in the video.

Sample: Grid2b
Beads : Micromod, Sicastar-M plain 1,5µm (1/20000: 1,25µg/ml)
Video : Test3
Area : 48,1 x 41,7µm (150x130+558+458)
  • after 28sec: a current flows through the upper conducting line. The single marker moves into the corner.
  • after 47sec: a current flows through the lower conducting line. The single marker moves into the next corner.

Sample: Grid2a
Beads : Micromod, Sicastar-M plain 1,5µm (1/1000: 25µg/ml)
Video : Test1
Area : 105,9 x 86,7µm (330x270+335+449)

In this video, the markers move counter clockwise from one corner to the next.

  • 70 - 89sec: The current (given in the picture) flows through the bottom conducting line (with the circle in the middle). The markers are collected in the circle.
  • 97 - 121sec: The current flows through the right conducting line. The markers are collected in the right corner.
  • 134 - 145sec: The currrent flows through the top right line. The markers are collected in the top right corner.
  • 152 - 168sec: The current flows through the top line. The markers are collected in the top corner.
  • 178 - 200sec: The current is applied to the top left line, but it is broken. The water starts to boil, because the applied voltage is heating up the drop of water (the image goes black, because of the bubbles).
  • 201 - 235sec: The current flows through the left line. The markers are collected in the left corner.
  • 241 - 255sec: The current flows through the bottom left line. The markers are collected in the bottom left corner.
  • 261 - 280sec: The current flows again through the bottom conducting line. The beads are collected in the circle in the middle.
  • 295 - 315sec: The current flows through the bottom right line. The beads are collected in the bottom right corner.
